Here's what I've done in the past few days...
Last week I talked about ports with you and tried to figure out how stuff works. I then went on to research ports and many other things. Yesterday, I learned a little about telnet, and was able to access telnet servers from the terminal in my computer. Pretty interesting stuff!

telnet is cool. Nice going. Command line is old fashioned and direct. It is the way to get through when all else fails, or if you really want to see what is happening. Who needs a GUI, anyway.

Another maintenance job is to sort through the pile of computer material on the floor in the computer lab that was used for the Beowulf investigation. I don't particularly care if the computers work again because they are older, but they are dissassembled and need to be picked up.
